Tactile Assistance for Selecting List Favorites with a Bifocal Absolute and Relative Representation

We present a novel technique for navigating lists of everyday life containing phone contacts, TV channels, radio programs, music albums, etc. on handheld devices such as mobile phones, remote controls... Our technique addresses the selection of favorite items in moderate sized lists using absolute and relative finger positioning. It also allows eyesfree navigation among favorite items.
